Bus Trips

This tour is by no means FRIGHTFUL, but so HAUNTINGLY DELIGHTFUL that you’ll clamor to reserve your spot ASAP! Join us as we journey down to Tarrytown, NY and transport you into Halloween mode, complete with Trick or Treating on the bus!!   Each time the sound of a doorbell is heard, a treat will be distributed!  Bwahhhhhhaha!  Our tour begins with a visit to an outdoor location site of the famed 60’s soap opera, Dark Shadows, the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.  Here we will trace the footsteps of Washington Irving’s most famous character Ichabod Crane in “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and walk to the author’s final resting place.  Having worked up an appetite, we will eat at the El Dorado Diner who provides us with a choice of three lunch favorites, including a vegetarian plate.  But it’s not over yet because we have saved a truly spooktacular event for last… The tristate areas biggest, most electrifying fall event: The Great Jack O’ Lantern Blaze at Van Cortland Manor.  Here we will meander through a historic, 18th-century riverside landscape and discover a breathtaking display of art sculptures made of carved, lit jack o’ lanterns!   You may have heard of someone’s experience.  You may have even seen the photos, but nothing at all comes close to viewing these masterpieces in person.  The detail of the carved Jack O’ Lanterns is an amazing sight in and of itself, but then to see these glowing globes mounted together to create a theme or sculpture is beyond jaw-dropping!  This tour requires quite a bit of walking.  Trips are non-refundable and run rain or shine. The price of the tour is all inclusive!  No discounts apply.
